A graduate in Animal Ecology from University of Aberdeen, Gordon is a versatile and enthusiastic ecologist with an excellent eye for detail, demonstrated by the fact that in 2016 he was the first to record a specimen of Hericium cirrhatum in Scotland demonstrating an excellent eye for detail.

Since working with Atmos he has been involved with a number of renewable energy and property development sites undertaking a range of ecological and ornithological surveys, proving himself to be a skilled and dedicated ecologist. He has particular expertise in raptors and fungi.

Prior to coming to Atmos he worked for the Marello Estate in Sicily, monitoring and protecting a population of rare Sicilian Rock Partridge as well as being a consultant falconer and aviculturist with the Himalayan Hawk Conservancy in Nepal.
