Consultant Ecologist, based in Inverness
The Position:
We wish to appoint a non-avian ecologist with excellent field skills and a desire to progress as a trusted advisor to colleagues and clients alike.
About the Person:
- You will have a good general background but with one or two technical specialisms emerging (e.g. you may hold licence(s) and be starting to act as Company resource in these areas);
- You will be confident in your knowledge of the main provisions of legislation; appreciate the subtleties of BAP, Priority Habitats/Species, Technical Guidance Notes etc.
- You will be aware of planning guidance, understand the importance of the planning context and be able to research project policy tests;
- You will be sufficiently experienced to represent Atmos directly with Clients/Projects;
- You will have day-to-day responsibility for running several projects and maintaining files (supported by Ecologist grade);
- You will act as Atmos Project Manager for small to medium-sized projects, usually within your own technical specialist remit., and will be well supported in this through direction and review by a Senior Ecologist.
