Senior or Principal Consultant Ecologist - based in Mold
The Position:
This role would suit someone with 10+ years professional consultancy experience and day-to-day requirements of the post would involve the following activities:
- Scoping and Project Management of a range of medium- to large-scale projects;
- Building/maintaining relationships with Clients;
- Business generation and promotion of Atmos Consulting to new clients;
- High level aspects of technical reporting and tendering;
- Review of reports;
- Negotiating with statutory agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders on behalf of Clients;
- Line management and mentoring of other members of the Atmos Ecology Team;
- Resource planning and financial reporting;
- Maintaining your own and others' Continuing Professional Development;
- Operating at all times in accordance with the IEEM Professional Code of Conduct.
The Person:
We would like to hear from you if you are an experienced ecologist, ideally with a high level of technical competence in botany and/or ornithology, who writes well and is fully conversant with the framework of legislation and guidance within which we practice consultancy in the UK. Experience of providing expert witness testimony would be an advantage.
Although the main business of Atmos Consulting is currently in the wind energy sector, our workload encompasses a wider range of development-related work, and experience across a range of sectors would be welcomed.
Accurate record-keeping and good project and budgetary management skills are a fundamental requirement of the post, as are good interpersonal skills and the ability to advise clients on technical issues both strategically and in detail when required.
