From One Winner to Another

The bike competition, which took place during All Energy 2010, was hugely popular, with over 400 entries at the Atmos stand over the two day conference.  As the proud headline sponsor of the Highlands Cycle series, Atmos has given away bikes at the industry conference for past 3 consecutive years.

In its third year, the Highlands Cycle Series is a growing event that has more than doubled in size since 2009. The challenge is designed to bring fresh trade and local business to the region, whilst raising awareness of the Highlands as an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Fraser Mackenzie, Scotland Regional Director at Atmos Consulting, commented: "We are proud to sponsor these events as part of our ongoing commitment to the Highlands and Islands region. Being a keen cyclist myself I relish the excitement a tough challenge can bring, and am thrilled that we can help people from all over the UK get involved in such a fantastic outdoors experience."

The Giant Defy 4 racing bike is on its way to Laura Nicolson from Community Energy Scotland, who is based in Dingwall. Laura said: "I'm delighted to have won the bike.  I thought it was a joke when I first heard as I'm not usually lucky in prize draws."

We hope that Laura will make good use of the bike and may even be tempted by one of the Highlands Cycle Series events!
