Atmos Welcomes Feed-in-Tariff Commencement

Atmos Consulting welcomes the new feed-in tariff scheme which starts today.

Technical Director, Simon Munro said 'We welcome the opportunities that the Clean Energy Cashback Scheme offers in broadening the scope for people to become directly involved in renewable energy generation.'

Atmos is looking to talk to people considering developments over 100KW to offer expert advice and technical assistance on ensuring adherence to planning and environmental regulations.

Simon added, 'Many of the issues for larger renewable energy schemes, such as noise, visual impact and protected species assessments are equally important in gaining consent for smaller projects.  We can help landowners in determining the requirements, carrying out the necessary assessments and preparing the environmental impact assessment to accompany the planning application.'

The Clean Energy Cashback scheme enables households and communities who install technologies such as small wind turbines and solar panels to claim payments for the low carbon electricity they produce.

Find out more about the scheme on the energy saving trust website.
