Atmos Consulting expands with New Senior Appointment

Leading renewable energy and environmental consultancy Atmos Consulting Ltd has announced that Jon Huckle is to join its team as a Principal Ecologist. This appointment caps an exciting period for Atmos, with the company experiencing rapid growth as it recruits for more experienced ecologists across its offices in Edinburgh, Inverness and Mold as demands for its services increases.

As Principal Ecologist at Atmos Jon will be working closely with Technical Directors in the day-to-day management, co-ordination, and execution of ecology work. He will also work on the preparation and review of Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA) required to inform Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Environmental Appraisals.

Jon, who will be based in Atmos' award winning sustainable office development in north Wales, joins with over 15 years' experience as a professional ecologist and with over eight years as an ecological consultant. He has previously worked on a wide range of projects in most parts of the UK, with a strong track record in ecological impact assessment, protected species mitigation and habitat management. He is also an expert on EU and UK legislation and policy in relation to ecology, and in integrating nature conservation issues with other sectors such as energy, transport and property.

Jon is also a Chartered Environmentalist, and a full Member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM) sitting on its Professional Affairs Committee and is Treasurer of the NW Regional Section.
